Terms of use
Draft product terms for the SplitzFPS PWA. Not legal advice. Not solicitor sign-off. Hong Kong law. Last updated 16 September 2026. Operator: Kendrick Ching. Contact: ascendbeyond@proton.me.
What the service is
SplitzFPS is a bill-splitting information tool: record a bill, assign dishes, and generate FPS or PayMe payment links or QR codes from identifiers you already own. We are not a bank, stored-value facility, money service operator, or payment institution. We do not receive the dinner money, hold a wallet or pooled balance, pay out to users, do FX, or act as merchant of record for the meal. You pay the other person yourself through FPS/PayMe/your bank. We do not guarantee they pay.
Stripe is our SaaS fee, not dinner money
If you buy Standard, Pro, or Founding, Stripe charges HKD for SplitzFPS software access. That charge is our subscription (or the one-time founding pass), not settlement of a restaurant bill. Card PAN never reaches SplitzFPS. Access follows Stripe webhooks, not the return page alone.
- Free — HK$0
- Standard — HK$42 / month (14-day trial on monthly)
- Pro — HK$85 / month (14-day trial on monthly)
- Founding — HK$388 once, lifetime Pro limits; no monthly trial on founding
Plan limits (history / table size / weekly scans) are described on the Pricings section. Manual split stays available on Free; receipt scan is the paid wall. We do not collect HKID.
Accounts
You must use an email you control. We send a verification code so the address is real. You are responsible for your password and for splits you create. By continuing you accept these Terms and the Privacy policy (draft versions dated on each page).
Your promises
You own or are allowed to use the FPS/PayMe identifier you type. You have rights in receipt photos you upload. You will not upload others’ personal data unlawfully, scrape the service, resell FPS identifiers, abuse OCR, or try to change your own subscription row in the database.
Accuracy and availability
Splits are calculations. OCR can be wrong. Confirm amounts and identifiers before you FPS anyone. The service is provided as available. We are not a party to the bank transfer. Hong Kong rules on exemption clauses and unconscionable contracts apply to any limitation language — this draft does not waive them, and counsel must review before launch.
Changes
We may update these Terms. The date at the top is the version. Material changes will be posted on this page. Governing law: Hong Kong.
